${classIdStart h1,general}General${classIdEnd h1,general}
${classIdStart h2,creators}Creators${classIdEnd h2,creators}
There are two creators, “The Experimenter” and “The Architect.” The Experimenter creates species with potential to transform or adapt. The Architect creates advanced species that are static. The Experimenter created Keres and all its life with the aim that humans would develop into a diverse and powerful race.
${classIdStart h2,ancestors}Ancestors${classIdEnd h2,ancestors}
The original race, “Ancestors,” had no form. They could form objects from their bodies but doing so took energy and life. An individual’s life/energy was equivalent to their mass. They learned that they could split their consciousness to create subordinate beings and that they could also create realms inside themselves. They could control the properties in those realms and create elements, states, races, etc. Some individuals created universes inside themselves including the one where the Keres exists.
Ancestors that create universes loan portions of their life energy to the universe. They grow smaller the more energy they give to their Universe. They can manifest within their universe. Regardless of the energy remaining in them, they are sovereign inside their universe. They cannot be harmed by residents of the universe. Outside the universe, however, they cannot use the loaned energy without the residents' consent, leaving them vulnerable depending on how much energy is loaned.
A resident of a universe can leave the universe with the permission of the universe's Ancestor. They must become an Ancestor to enter the exterior world which means they need enough life energy to be self-sustaining. That energy is taken from the original Ancestor. This is a form of splitting the Ancestor and creating new authentic life. Because elements do not exist in the exterior world, beings leaving a universe lose their elemental form. They can regain that form if they re-enter that universe. They can also form similar forms in other universes if there are analogs to the elements in their form.
Ancestors can enter other Ancestor's universes. They can enter with that Ancestor's permission or they can break in. When entering, they can either keep their own life energy, which limits their interaction with the universe, or they can join their energy with the universe's Ancestor and become fully a part of the universe and effectively fuse with that Ancestor.
${classIdStart h2,the-universe}The Universe${classIdEnd h2,the-universe}
In Keres’s universe, “The Universe,” the creator Ancestor, “The Creator,” created a number of beings that took a large part of his power. Some of those beings split or procreated, creating beings of less power. This continued and each generation was less powerful and more numerous. Eventually, beings had so little power the generations were indistinguishable, that is every being had practically no power. However, not every being spilt or procreated and not every being was subject to death. Thus there exist some beings in The Universe of great power. Some of the oldest beings still know of the origin of The Universe. The Creator also created a manifestation of himself in The Universe, “The Avatar.”
${classIdStart h2,life-energy-i}Life Energy I${classIdEnd h2,life-energy-i}
When beings die, their energy is collected into stars that radiate it back into the universe. Other beings can gain energy from stars and beings with little or no energy require this energy to live. The life energy from the universe's Ancestor not contained in beings is stored in stars.
${classIdStart h2,original-races}Original Races${classIdEnd h2,original-races}
Some of the original beings were given tasks by The Creator for maintaining The Universe. One of these was tasked with creating more beings to populate The Universe. This being split into a race of beings, “Progenitors.” The Experimenter and The Architect, the ones responsible for creating life on Keres, are Progenitors.
${classIdStart h2,progenitors-and-keres}Progenitors and Keres${classIdEnd h2,progenitors-and-keres}
After creating Keres, The Experimenter and The Architect moved on to different parts of The Universe. Both Progenitors periodically return to their creations to check on them. The humans developed with great speed and were sought after by other nearby races as soldiers and slaves. Keres, was conquered multiple times, the last by “Slavers”. Another race, the Ogko, leaders of Lolo, aided Keres in revolution. The king at the time, Rei, managed to defeat the Slavers with the Ogko’s help. His brother, Zane, allied himself with the Slavers and upon their defeat, escaped with them. Rei, in order to make Keres less of a target, sealed the potential of humans. He then took control of the Keres while an Ogko controlled the Sun.
A number of squid, Zane and a new ally Jafar eventually defeat Rei and the Ogko and take control over the Sun and then the Keres.
${classIdStart h2,life-energy-ii}Life Energy II${classIdEnd h2,life-energy-ii}
A being’s life energy is a budget that can be spent on different aspects of life. That can be size or complexity of the body or a reservoir of energy for other tasks. Energy used in tasks is released and collected into stars. Starlight can be used to replenish this energy but it is difficult to store more energy than a being's original capacity. If a being has more energy than their capacity, the excess energy will leak out. Beings can, however, grow their capacity. Energy can also be given or shared amongst different beings.
${classIdStart h2,three-planes}Three Planes${classIdEnd h2,three-planes}
The Universe is made up of three planes: the mind, body and soul planes. Beings can have awareness in none, some or all of these planes. Having awareness in a plane means being able to perceive aspects of that plane. Each plane has a biological association in the other planes. The mind and soul of a being are housed in the brain of the body, for example. Thus the brain is the connection of beings with awareness in the body plane to the other two planes. Most lesser beings have awareness in only one plane. Humans only have awareness in the body plane, though a few have transferred to other planes. Transferring to other planes requires a bridge. Bridges can be accessed through meditation. Traveling a bridge is a physical metaphor for the change in perception that is going from one plane to another. Beings with great awareness in a plane are represented as complex and sentient organisms. Beings with little awareness are represented as plants or other non sentient organisms. Beings with no or extremely little awareness are represented as inanimate objects. Because awareness in a plane is tied to complexity in that plane, it requires life energy. Therefore having awareness in multiple planes costs more energy than having awareness in only one or none. Beings with enough energy to have awareness but do not have much excess energy without the consciousness to use it. Such beings can be sources of energy to other beings.
${classIdStart h2,plane-creatures}Plane Creatures${classIdEnd h2,plane-creatures}
There exist in each plane races that represent the three planes and their bridges. These races can be used to gain awareness, influence or power in these planes and bridges. The beings Gil, Reil and Deboru used a nix, a representation of the body-soul bridge in the body plane, to create Brij and Drej, whose fusion Rij was able to give Zu access to that bridge and increase his influence on the soul aspects of the body plane.
${classIdStart h2,vision-for-humanity}Vision for Humanity${classIdEnd h2,vision-for-humanity}
When The Experimenter created humans, The Architect created static races to serve as source material for humans development. The Architect also created beings to be caretakers of humanity and to aid them in their development. These beings remained mysterious to most humans for most of their history, revealing their true purpose only to a few humans, including the ruling line of Rei. When Rei sealed humanity, those beings removed themselves from humans and took to protecting humans’ existence instead of their development until Zel found and communicated with them and gave them his son Zu.
${classIdStart h2,culture-of-names}Culture of Names${classIdEnd h2,culture-of-names}
Names on earth do not have meanings. Titles of course have names but given names do not. It is also frowned upon to choose a given name that is the same as a real word. The reason is that attributes of someone's character cannot be known at birth. A person's name will come to carry meaning based on the owner's life. It is also generally frowned upon to take the name of someone else. This is often unavoidable but people often come up with variations on existing names. Taking someone else's name is a strong statement.
${classIdStart h2,the-plan}The Plan${classIdEnd h2,the-plan}
After attracting the attention of outside clans, King Rei manipulated the planet to seal the potential of humans. This brought about an era of man that forgot about and lost belief in the abilities of humans and other beings more than their base nature. The ruling family retained belief in the potential of man and one king, Ril, along with other individuals, Zel and Roiz, designed a plan to unlock human potential. They eventually came into contact with Keres’s protectors who agreed to aid them. Reiz tried to recreate the experiment of Reiz that gave birth to the four subspecies of man and fathered four new augmented humans. Zel and his wife Ru left their son Zu to be cared for and taught by the protectors. Ril began studying and attempting to lock the powers locked in the Kin bloodline. The five children are not made aware of the plan but Zu independently choses to follow the same path after his parents’ deaths. Zu also discovers the ties between Ril and Roiz. After Ril leaves, Roiz goes into hiding with his daughter Luza and Zu carries out the plan along with his new allies as Rij.
${classIdStart h2,belief-elements-items}Belief, elements and items${classIdEnd h2,belief-elements-items}
There are fundamental concepts in any universe. These fall into the categories, race, item, element and phenomenon. The creator of the universe can specify these concepts and those concepts will be immutable inside that universe. New concepts can be added by beings inside the universe. If a concept with a name carries commonly held beliefs, that concept can be elevated to universal among the immutable concepts. These concepts can change over time as the beliefs of the resident beings evolve. These concepts have physical manifestations in a certain place in the universe. A being can manipulate or even destroy these concepts if they go to where the concepts are physically stored. Beliefs are weighted by the life energy of the believer so the beliefs of larger creatures matter more than those of smaller creatures.

${classIdStart h2,nil-soul}Nil and soul${classIdEnd h2,nil-soul}
Matter in a universe typically belongs to one or more elements of that universe. Matter that does not have an element is made up of some mixture of dead matter and life energy and is called nil. Living creatures have a core made up of pure life energy (that core may be their entire body for primordial creatures). That core is often called the soul but is distinct from a being's body in the lower plane which is also called the soul.
${classIdStart h2,hok-herta}Hok and herta${classIdEnd h2,hok-herta}
The original human, crafted by The Experimenter, was able to manipulate their own body to adapt and evolve. King Rei later sealed this ability leading to a form of sub-human. Zu renamed the original human Hok and the sub-human Herta. A human that has partially unlocked their potential or has gained power through other means, e.g. fusion with other races, is called a Shihok.
${classIdStart h2,resurrection-information}Resurrection and information${classIdEnd h2,resurrection-information}
A being is defined by the makeup of their body (including their soul and mind). This makeup exists as information in a universe. If a being can put together the information of another being that has died, they can recreate that being, essentially resurrecting them. There is some leeway: if not all the information is known but all the critical pieces are there, the universe will supply the missing information. An advanced technique involves manipulation of information to create alternate versions of beings or entirely new beings. The information required to resurrect a being is vast and typically unobtainable for simple creatures like humans. Creating new creatures is even more demanding and all information must be known; the universe will provide none.

Granularity of sparks
What constitutes an individual? In the soul plane entities exist as black boxes. They have no subcomponents. In the mind plane, entities exist in a hierarchy of composition. Entities can be made up of other entities recursively up to a point. In the body plane, everything is an entity and every part of an entity is an entity itself. The question is are the sub-entities alive. Since a sentient being in one plane can and usually is an inanimate object in another plane, it is possible for a separate entity in one plane to be a sub-entity in another plane. Or a sub-entity can be part of one entity in one plane and part of another entity in another plane. Are sub-entities considered distinguishable with their own spark or is it conditional? What effect does a sub-entity have on the parent entity if that sub-entity is a living being in another plane? Can inanimate objects that are living beings in another plane be considered dead matter?

Stormy Lake Blade
To demonstrate his ability to create powerful tools, Zu creates a sword. He finds a lake and begins communicating with the lifeforms there. He talks to the animal, the plants, the rocks, the water in the lake and the ground around and under the lake, imbuing them with knowledge until they become sentient. Zu also talks to the sky over the lake and to every cloud and storm and every gust of wind. Eventually the local sky becomes sentient and a race of clouds and storms and wind also gain sentience. Zu trains the newly sentient beings and helps them all discover their true powers. He develops a contract amongst the residents of the lake and the sky above the lake. Zu then creates a subrace from the rocks that have higher mineral purity using the purifying abilities of the decomposers in the lake. They eventually form a race of metal. He takes some of those metal beings and fuses them into a piece large enough to forge a sword. Zu heats and folds the metal to remove impurities. He then forges the metal into a blade. The being that is the metal assists Zu in shaping itself into the desired form. Zu takes a branch from a tree and forms a handle for the blade. The blade and handle fuse into a single being that forms the sword. The sword forms contracts with the residents of the lake to give it energy and to be able to use their abilities.

Four Families
In the era of powerful humans, one man, Reiz, became one of the most powerful humans in the history of the world through self modification. His changes to himself were inherited in part by his four children, two male and two female. Their descendants gave rise to four subraces of humans: Zurel, Bruji, Kalifa and Holo. Each family had different abilities and each had a visible trait. The Zurel family were all slight and fragile, fast and agile. They were in fact inhumanly fast. They had blood that was pure red at all times. Their blood was thick and stained easily. It would even glow red in the dark. Often, their veins would be visible through their skin even though Zurel were typically dark skinned. Bruji were large, almost giants, with bulky muscles. They were very strong, stronger even then should be possible even with their large muscles. They were also very durable, having almost unbreakable bones. Their bones were black, as were their teeth and sclera. They were so black that they seemed to absorb light. No details could be seen in the bones due to how black they were. The Kalifa and Holo families had mostly normal appearances. The Kalifa often had abilities relating to foresight and had blue hair. Their hair glowed blue in the dark and lacked definition. The Holo displayed abilities like sealing, mind control and abilities relating to vision. All their abilities were attached to their eyes which glowed violet. The colored parts of the families were so strong that they had no shadows or highlights. They remained the same color even in darkness or when illuminated by light. When members of different families have children, those children will almost certainly have traits from only one family though at some point, some of the Kalifa and Holo families interbred and created the King family. They had abilities of both clans, with males tending to have more Holo abilities and females having more Kalifa abilities. Their hair and eyes were gold. No other families have successfully merged. The Zurel and Kalifa families descended from the daughters of Reiz and the Bruji and Holo families descended from the sons. The Kalifa and Holo ancestors were the elder two. THe four children each crafted a weapon to harness their powers. These weapons could only be fully utilized by them and their descendants. These were the Zurel dagger, the Bruji axe, the Kalifa sword and the Holo claymore. The King family was later able to create the King's spear. These weapons, in the absence of proper wielders from their family, transformed into normal swords but members of the family could, depending on the strength of their bloodline, restore the weapon to its original form. The swords would transform in stages, according to the purity of the wielder. The swords would first change to the family's color, then lose definition, and then transform into the original shape. By Zu's time, the four families' bloodlines had thinned significantly. Members of the families often showed diminished versions of the traits; the colors were not as strong. The King hair often had streaks of different colors and did not glow and details could be seen. The Zurel blood seemed almost normal. Bruji bones did not absorb light and had shadows and highlights. The five weapons had all become normal swords and it was extremely rare for a member to be born that could even make the color change slightly. The Kalifa and Holo families had almost disappeared, with less than 10 members each living in seclusion. A member of the Lusel family, Roiz, recreated Reiz's experiment on himself. He had four children that had traits similar to the four families. They had white features instead of red, black, blue and violet. They were Leira (Zurel), Kilta (Bruji), Lessa (Kalifa) and Lionis (Holo). Roiz also performed experiments on Ril, a member of the King family, Zel, Zu's father and a member of the Zurel family and another person from the Bruji family. Their children had strong traits from their families. Ril's son was Rith. Zu, who had been given the Zurel dagger by Zel, who stole it from the Zishki clan, was able to transform the dagger back to its original form completely. Ruth, as a baby, was able to make the King's spear change color and lose definition. Zu later discovered that many of the traits of the families were not genetic. Some were mental or emotional. Some were not permanent and could be adopted and dropped at will. They were also not all exclusive. He sought to acquire the traits of all four families. At one point he was able to transform the Bruji axe to its full form.

First and Second Generation
The Sovereign designs the abstract structure of the Universe. The Sovereign created the first generation to design the details and maintain creation. There is one that destroys and absorbs dead worlds, stars and other matter and converts it into energy. There is another that uses that energy to create stars and habitable planets. There is another that populates the planets with life. The first generation made the second generation to help them with their tasks. The one that populates, the Progenitor created the Progenitor race, among which are The Architect and The Experimenter.
Do the first and second generations have genders?
Do the Progenitors operate in pairs? In groups?
Are any of the first two generations humanoid?
Are there patterns the Progenitors use?
The Experimenter populates Keres with humans, creatures from The Architect and one or more races of caretakers. The humans are given potential and the other races serve as models for evolution, environmental pressures, parts of the ecosystem, etc. The caretakers are to guide the progression of humans and to ensure their survival. They protect from internal and external dangers. They are to limit their intervention so as to not contaminate humans' evolution. The other races are capable of limited evolution.

Origin of the Four Families
Reiz's changes to himself made him very adaptable, taking in qualities from his environment. These qualities were all transient, however. When his children inherited this adaptability, however, they formed permanent attributes. The four children took residence in four different places and developed traits from those locations. The Zurel ancestor lived in a forest of giant trees. A river ran through the forest. The water contained substances that made it strongly red in color. It gave vitality to those who drank it and bathed in it. There were deer-like creatures that lived in the forest. The ancestor developed her red blood from the river and her agility from the deer. Similarly, the Brolo ancestor developed tough skin and strength from a crab-like creature that lives in canyons. Strong winds blow in the canyon and only bulky and/or strong creatures can survive without being constantly impeded by the wind. The wind erodes all rock except exceptionally hard black stones that form great pillars in the canyons. The ancestor developed their black bones from these. The Kalifa ancestor lived in a meadow with a violet waterfall and giant water serpents. The Holo ancestor lived in the desert with large green crystals and giant four winged owl-like creatures.
The children of Roiz underwent similar transformations, though they all lived in the same area, a forest in the Lusel territory of Deilet. Leira drew her power from wolf-like creatures and a white river. Kilta drew his power from white trees and giant centipedes. Luza drew her power from giant arachnids and their webs. Lionis drew her power from white crystals and lion-like creatures.

Zu's Motivations
Why does Zu want to complete the plan? What is his version of the plan? Initially Zu seeks only to bring back the era of magic, more specifically, unlocking magical abilities in humans. When Zu realizes that there are more humans like him that are able to use magic, his goal shifts to making magic more prevalent. After Zu merges with Rij and discovers how Rij was made, he gains the additional goal of creating the perfect human form. Does Zu know that this aligns (at least partly) with the goals of The Experimenter? Does he know about The Experimenter? Do the caretakers know about The Experimenter? Does Zu get his goal from the caretakers or did he arrive at it independently? Do the caretakers regret the decision to lock human potential? Zu experiences the powers of the caretakers and discovers his own powers. He is told that other humans do not possess these and experiences that for himself when he meets other humans. He first meets Leira who ventures into the forest when he is around 5. He later meets the other siblings as Leira invites him to the outskirts of the forest where the siblings are able to reach. Eventually, when he is around 10, he leaves the forest to live with Roiz. He does not gain his motivation fully until realizing the powerlessness of common humans. Roiz’s children exhibit less power than Zu. Leira shows the most due to her powers being similar to those of Zu and Zu counseling her. But the other Lusel are powerless. The Zurel and Bruji are only slightly better. Zu wants to empower them all. Does Zu inquire why Roiz and his children have power? Does Roiz discuss in any way the plan with Zu? Do the children know why they have powers and about the plan? Does Zu confide in Luza the plan? He definitely at some point tells Rein. What actions does Zu take to progress the plan? Sela tells Zu that her death and the war are pivotal to the plan. Other than maintaining the war, does Zu have other ventures? What is Zu’s relationship with Bel in regards to the plan? Does Zu train anyone other than Zoed? What is Zu's relationship with Brud and Drej in regards to the plan? When does Zu realize that Ril, Roiz and Zel have their own plan?

Complexity
When a being gains new life energy it first goes to their energy store. It can later be spent on size or complexity, depending on the organism. Most organisms are unable to simply grow in size or complexity so doing so often entails transforming into another type of organism, but this is nontrivial and is more difficult and costly than when the organism already allows for it. For example, the original humans were capable of transformation so gaining life energy could easily be spent on complexity, and to a much lesser extent, size. But after having their potential locked, transforming would require unlocking or transforming into non humans.

Soul Sheaths
Primordial beings, entities comprised solely of life energy, can only exist if their life energy is passed a certain threshold. Entities with life energy below the threshold must have a sheath to survive or their life energy will dissipate. The sheath can be made of matter of dead energy. While these are not mutually exclusive, having both is rare. The complexity of a being can be manifested in either its life energy or its matter sheath or both. Dead energy sheaths (or soul sheath) do not have complexity. It is possible for primordial beings past the threshold to still have a sheath. This usually happens when a primordial being passed the threshold grows a sheath or when a being below the threshold already has a sheath and gains enough energy to pass the threshold. The former case is inordinately rare as there is little reason to grow a sheath for such beings and growing a sheath is already extremely rare. How does a being grow a soul sheath?

Reiz
Reiz gave himself the ability to imprint on creatures, plants and other aspects of his environment. Through this process he would gain abilities and/or attributes from or related to that source. Reiz himself imprinted a number of varied sources. When he had his four children, they inherited none of his gained affinities but inherited his ability to imprint. When they imprinted, their focus was singular: a single environment and a single creature and object from that environment. They imprinted consistently on these sources for their entire lives. Their children seemingly did not inherit the ability to imprint but inherited the gained aspects of their parents, starting the four families.

The Original Plan
The three original proponents of the plan, Ril, Roiz and Zel, each had their own ventures to pursue. Ril, as king, was largely unable to make direct progress and instead, sought out and mentored other to drive the plan, namely Zu. Were there others that Ril pushed to accomplish the plan? Did Sela tell Ril that Zu would be the one to complete the plan? Zel, being a descendant if Reiz, was closer to being unlocked himself. He sought to study the nature of Zurel, and eventually also Bruji, in an attempt to use that as an avenue to fully unlock himself and others. Roiz, as a fully locked human, sought to unlock via other means. He tried a number of things (What other things?) including trying to recreate Reiz's feat on himself. How did he do this? This attempt seemingly failed. He actually succeeded but only partially. He gained the ability to imprint but was unable to use it as he was still locked. He also performed another experiment that resulted in him gaining a large amount of life energy, enough to exist without a sheath. What was the experiment? Did he know about life energy? When he had his four children, they inherited the imprint ability and some of his energy. They, being born with a large amount of energy, were able to unlock the imprint ability (unknowingly) and used it to become the second set of four.

Zu and Rein become Reiz
Zu unknowingly follows in the footsteps of his father, i.e. studying the four families. While in Deilet, he studies the Zurel and Bruji. Eventually, he and his family move to Kayelta. While there, he studies the Kin clan. Ril knows of the locations of the remnants of both the Kalifa and Holo clans but only the Kalifa clan is friendly with Ril. This is due to them foreseeing the plan's completion and knowing Ril is partly responsible. The Kalifa clan allow Zu to visit them and he goes through training by them and he studies their race. In studying the four races (the Holo clan through Ril who is more Holo than Kalifa), Zu discovers that you do not need to be born in the races to gain their abilities. He discovers the imprint ability and that Reiz's descendants all have it. Zu uses the ability along with his knowledge of the four families to gain the abilities of all four races. He eventually discovers that Roiz's children are a second set of four and after having studied them as well (Luza is dead but he knew her well enough and could also study Rein) gains their abilities as well. Eventually, he learns how to use the imprint ability to gain the abilities of other sources outside the eight, becoming something similar to Reiz. Rein is a descendant of both Reiz and Roiz. She does not exhibit Zurel traits, nor does she have red hair. As she grows, however, she develops the traits of the four families and of her mother. Zu had met members of the four families and begun his journey to exhibit traits of the four before Rein was born. This changed him enough that Rein was able to inherit latent traits of the four that get stronger as she learns more about the four alongside her father. She eventually gains the traits of her uncles and aunts in a similar manner to Zu. She inherited the imprint ability from both parents and has some affinity to her uncles and aunts so is able to gain their traits after further interaction with them, even though she only inherits biologically traits from her mother Luza. The end products, Zu and Rein, are slightly different. Zu gained most of his abilities from learning so his body is still only Zurel. He can exhibit traits from the eight on command but they are transient. Rein gained most of her abilities biologically. Even the traits from her aunts and uncles became ingrained in her body. Rein's traits from the eight are permanent but less powerful, although she can fully manifest the abilities of the eight on command like her father. When either of them fully manifest the traits of more than one of the original four, the associated colors turn gold, like the Kin clan. When manifesting traits from matching pairs from both sets of four, the color is white with accents of the original color. When doing both, the color is white with accents of gold.

Sigils
The descendants of Zu, after becoming proficient in magical energy, develop a technique to artificially produce certain braids of energy capable of performing certain techniques. They locked this technique into sigils. Having a sigil would allow the owner to give it energy and produce the braid and perform the abilities associated with it. Care was taken to prevent misuse by making the nature of the sigil unknown to those that have it and preventing the ownership of it to those that know the sigil. Thus any one person could either be able to bestow the sigil on others or use the sigil but not both. There were, of course, many countermeasures to this. If one was able to recreate the braid without the sigil, they would no longer have any need of it. These sigils were for use by those with insufficient proficiency in magical energy to perform magic.

Soul Conglomeration
There is a powerful form of fusion that temporarily (but sometimes permanently) joins a group of individuals' souls. The fusion is powered by the shared experience of the individuals. Almost any experience will work but the magnitude of the connection it forms between individuals determines the strength of the fusion. Originally, a multitude of experiences were used and people of different relations used it. It could be the love between family members, the trust between comrades, a shared purpose of compatriots or the passion of lovers. Eventually, this form of fusion fell out of fashion by all but those who chose the lovers route. The other routes require more from the participants as passion is often intense. This continued to the point where the technique was solely used by lovers and other routes were forgotten. While performing the technique, the participants are transported to an alternate dimension that exists for the duration of the fusion. In their place, an avatar of the dimension appears and acts on behalf of the participants. While in the dimension, participants can engage in activities that enhance the shared experience, which usually means intercourse for the passion route.

Alternate Dimensions
Alternate dimensions are common in this universe. They can be created through aberrations or inconsistencies with individuals. Typically this means fusion but specifically methods of fusion that only partially fuse the participants. If two individuals fuse their soul bodies but not their physical or mental bodies, a dimension is created to house their physical and mental bodies while an avatar of the dimension with a soul body takes the place of the original soul bodies. This can also occur when individuals of one plane are a single entity in another plane. All alternate dimensions have avatars, although that avatar need not always be sentient.

Four Families' Politics
Their are six major factions between Kayelta and Deilet. First are the original four families: Holo, Kalifa, Bruji and Zurel. Then there is the combination of Holo and Kalifa, Kin Finally there is an organization of non four family members, Lusel. There are additionally a few ofshoots including the Zohkrel and Krobruji proto clans that broke from the Zurel and Bruji respectively. The caretakers have varying interaction with the six groups. The Holo and Kalifa families maintained close contact with the caretakers with the Zurel and Bruji have completely lost contact, however, the Zohkrel clan was reintroduced to them. The Lusel family formed after the sealing and therefore never met the caretakers as a whole, although Roiz forms relations with them. The Kin family does not interact with the caretakers outside the hierarch who always goes before them after inauguration. The Holo and Kalifa clan are kept hidden and most people, in both Kayelta and Deilet, do not know of their existence. All four families value purity of their bloodlines. The two offshoots also enforce purity of their bloodlines but also value emulating the other bloodlines. The Zurel, Bruji, their offshoots and Lusel control Deilet. The Holo and Kalifa families have had a fairly close relationship ever since the formation of the Kin family and its rise to royalty in Kayelta. The Deilet factions developed animosity towards the Kayelta factions due to their growing political power. This eventually led to Deilet splitting from Kayelta. This may have something to do with why the Deilet factions have little to no interation with the caretakers. The caretakers have wanted to unseal humans since the time of Rei but needed humans to pioneer the effort. When the royal line decided to try to unseal humanity, the caretakers paid extra attention to the royal line and therefore maintain connection with the Holo and Kalifa families. The Kalifa family supported the plan from the start, either explicitly seeing of having a feeling that the plan would succeed due to the forsight of Kalifa members. The Holo family felt that unlocking humans would threaten the four families' superiority overr the world and opposed the plan. The Zurel and Bruji families' powers and knowledge of history and the nature of humans diminished since their split from Kayelta and the caretakers. (Maybe Roiz discovers the history somehow and with Zel pursues the plan independently from Ril and they discover their common goal around the time Zu and his children go to Kayelta. Although what reason would they have to go to Kayelta if not for the plan?)
